Bladder cancer

Quite a few people with bladder cancer can have blood in their urine yet no pain while urinating. There are signs for bladder cancer like fatigue, weight loss, and bone tenderness, and these can display more progressive disease. Bladder Cancer occurs in men more normally than it does in women

Brain Cancer

A brain cancer holds the growth of abnormal cells in the tissues of the brain. Primary brain cancer comprises malignant tumour. Brain stem tumours, pituitary adenomas, germ cell tumour, Tumour development, of brain cancer, primary CNS lymphomas, Pathophysiology and Risk factors of brain cancer and prediction of brain tumours.

Breast cancer detection, Prevention and diagnosis

Breast cancer is most common in women. Screening tactics are therapeutic breast examination, mammography, and additional imaging methods. X-rays are taken to thoroughly detect the breast cancer which is well-known as a mammogram. After lump discovery or other sign mammogram is used.

Colorectal Cancer

Colorectal cancer starts in the colon. These cancers can also be entitled colon cancer or rectal cancer, reliant on where they start. Colon cancer and rectal cancer are often gathered together because they have many features in common.

Gynecologic cancers originate in different places within a woman’s pelvis, which is the area beneath the stomach and in between the hip bones.

Types of Gynecologic Cancer

Ovarian cancer originates in the ovaries, which are situated on each side of the uterus.

Uterine cancer originates in the uterus, the pear-shaped organ in a woman’s pelvis where the baby grows when she is pregnant.

Vaginal cancer begins in the vagina, which is the hollow, tube-like channel between the bottom of the uterus and the external of the body.

Vulvar cancer originates in the vulva, the outer part of the female genital organs.

Haematological malignancies are the types of cancer affecting blood, bone marrow and lymph nodes. They are denoted to as leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma dependent on the type of cell affected.

Leukaemia  People with leukaemia make a lot of white blood cells that can't fight infections.

Acute lymphocytic leukemia This starts in myeloid cells, which normally grow into white blood cells, red blood cells, and platelets. AML pull down the number of healthy blood cells in all three types. This procedure of leukaemia grows quickly.

Chronic lymphocytic leukemia This blood cancer starts in myeloid cells, like AML. But the abnormal cells develop slowly.

Cancer is a disease of uncontrolled development and proliferation whereby cells have escaped the body’s standard growth control mechanisms and have gained the ability to distribute indefinitely. It is a multi-step process that involves the gathering of many genetic changes over time . These genetic alterations contain activation of proto-oncogenes to oncogenes, deregulation of tumour suppressor genes and DNA healing genes and ‘immortalisation’

Immunotherapy is a kind of cancer treatment that helps your immune system battle cancer. Immunotherapy is a type of biological treatment. Biological treatment is a type of treatment that uses substances made from living organisms to treat cancer.

Immune checkpoint inhibitors, T-cell transfer therapy, Monoclonal antibodies, Monoclonal antibodies, Treatment vaccines, Immune system modulators.

Cancer rehabilitation is a program that comforts people with cancer and restore their physical and emotional well-being. Cancer rehabilitation is available before, and after cancer treatment

Myeloma is a type of blood cancer that advances from cells in the bone marrow called plasma cells. It develops when there is a change in the DNA of the plasma cells. The modification happens to the DNA when the bone marrow is building new plasma cells. These are myeloma cells. Myeloma cells produce abnormal form of antibodies which doesn’t function properly hence they can’t fight infections.

Retinoblastoma is a cancer that starts in the retina, It is the most common type of eye cancer in children. The obvious sign of retinoblastoma is an unusual appearance of the retina as viewed through the pupil, the medical term for which is leukocoria, also known as amaurotic cat's eye reflex. Other signs and symptoms include deterioration of vision, a red and irritated eye with glaucoma, and faltering development or delayed development. Some children with retinoblastoma can develop a cross-eyed. Retinoblastoma presents with advanced disease in emerging countries and eye enlargement is a common finding.

Radiation therapy (also called radiotherapy) is a cancer therapy that uses high doses of radiation to kill cancer cells and shrink tumors .At low doses, radiation is used in x-rays to see exclusive your body,as with x-rays of your teeth or broken bones. At high doses, radiation therapy kills cancer cells or reduces their growth by damaging their DNA. Cancer cells whose DNA is damaged beyond repair stop isolating or die. When the damaged cells die, they are broken down and detached by the body.

Secondary prevention Method in which previous therapeutic intervention is possible through screening an asymptomatic population to recognize cancer at an earlier stage than it would have  been diagnoised in absence of screening.

There are 3 national screening programmes

Bowel cancer screening is seen in people aged 60-74

Breast cancer screening is offered to women, some transgender men and certain non-binary people aged 50-70

Cervical screening is seen in women, some transgender men and some non-binary people aged 25-64

Certain carcinogens, for example formaldehyde and formaldehyde-releasing additives are present in cosmetics. Formaldehyde are common carcinogens in skincare products, hair straightening products, nail polishes, shampoos, lotions, and shower gels. If humans are exposed to high quantities of formaldehyde, it can place them at a higher risk for developing cancers. Carcinogens may rise the risk of cancer by varying cellular metabolism or harmful DNA directly in cells, which interferes with biological methods, and encourages the uncontrolled, malignant partition, ultimately leading to the development of tumours.

Most antineoplastic agents are categorized according to their structure or cell cycle activity - either cell cycle phase specific or cell cycle phase non-specific.

Cell cycle phase specific agents act on the cells in a particular phase. They are most active against tumours that have a huge proportion of cells vigorously moving through the cell cycle and cycling at a fast rate. Fast cycling ensures that the cell passes through the phase in which it is susceptible to the drugs' effects.

Generally, they are categorized as

(1)alkylating agents,

 (2) antimetabolites,

(3) natural products,

 (4) hormones and antagonists,

 (5) miscellaneous.
