Christian G. Chaussy Treated after 5 years of intensive pre-clinical and clinical research at the University of Munich on February 7th 1980 the first patient worldwide with ESWL. Professor Zoya Vinokur is an alumnae of New York City College of Technology. Professor Vinokur teaches Radiographic Procedures and Clinical Education. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Long Island University, C.W. Post, her Master of Science degree in Health Services Management and Policy from New School University and holds advanced certification in mammography. With over 20 years of professional and teaching experience she has taught a variety of courses in the medical imaging discipline including, Radiographic Procedures and Positioning, Pediatric Radiography, Advanced Medical Imaging II in a baccalaureate degree program, and Clinical Education. Professor Vinokur worked in major Metropolitan Hospitals in New York and New Jersey. She brings her extensive knowledge and background not only to the classroom but also to clinical settings. She is licensed to practice in both New York and New Jersey States. Professor Vinokur is a frequently invited speaker at professional conferences both locally and regionally. Burgess received a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia, where he served as an assistant professor from 1998-2000. He earned a Ph.D. degree in chemistry from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1997 and was a postdoctoral research associate in 1998 at Iowa State University’s Department of Energy – Ames Laboratory. He served on the faculty at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, as assistant professor and, most recently, as associate professor in the Department of Chemistry in the College of Arts and Sciences. In 2015, he was appointed chair of the Department of Medical, Laboratory, Imaging and Radiologic Sciences in the College of Allied Health Sciences at Augusta University. Burgess oversees three nationally accredited professional programs, including Clinical Laboratory Science, Nuclear Medicine Technology and Radiation Therapy and a rapidly growing research agenda that attracts significant extramural funding. He has research interests in the development of personalized patient diagnostics, including identifying a reliable predictor of children at risk for high cholesterol and cholesterol efflux as a diagnostic for cystic fibrosis.

Luis Moreno Sánchez, has graduated from the Universidad Central de Venezuela, Hospital Universitario de Caracas, subsequently performing a fellow-ship in Advanced Radiotherapy Techniques in the Hospital de Clinicas Caracas and the Hospital Universitario de Caracas, remaining the last five months of his residency in the radioncology service in the Hospital de Niños JM de Los Rios, at care of the radiation treatment of pediatric patients. He is assistant professor in the exclusive radiation oncology residence of Dominican Republic. Research interest include radiation oncology in brain tumors in adults and pediatric patients.
